Cavalla French/Dark Roast
Premium roasted cocoa with natural hints of
coconut and cinnamon
Winding along its western front, the Cavalla River gives shape to the exotic Ivory Coast. The surrounding agricultural area is dotted with small, family-owned farms that produce the very best African cacao. The dark, earthy-toned beans are carefully handpicked and dried naturally by the sun to enhance the full-bodied chocolate flavor, which hints of dark spice, coconut and cinnamon. These incredible natural flavours come to life when you brew a cup of Cavalla, made from 100% pure, darkly roasted cocoa beans.
For those that like a darker roasted premium coffee roasted flavour, this is the perfect Crio Brü.
Making Crio Bru is easy, whether in a coffee maker or French Press. And Cavalla is incredibly delicious, especially when you add a little creamer and cinnamon.

Ghana (Cavalla) French Roast
I love brewed cacao. I make mine in a French press as per instructions. I drink it without adding anything else. I brewed some this morning and was distracted doing something else. I eventually poured the Bru nearly an hour later and it still tastes wonderful.

Delicious
This is a great yummy healthy drink. I love the variety of regions and roasts (just like coffee).
I drink it black and it is totally different than coco powder (super yum). If you have it with milk then it’s not that different to good quality coco powder.
Price is the only real negative, it’s much higher than most premium coffees.
Overall very happy with product and expect to be a long term customer. -
Ghana French Roast
Trialed ~40g with moka pot; grind as received was predominantly sour (under-extracted) - remedied with finer grind: balanced bitter/sweet/acidity. Lingering full-mouth feel and complex flavour; rich brownie aroma. A great cacao espresso.

Crio Bru French Roast
It took me a little while to get used to drinking this instead of coffee, I expected it to be more like coffee less like cacao but it grew on me so its worth persevering. I found boiling it was the best way to get the most flavour. I like it with oat milk or the MCT creamer. Definitely worth trying.
